The most beautiful "Bastide"of Gironde ! Located at the confluence of the Isle and the Dordogne rivers, it is the first shipping port of the Dordogne. Come and discover the town hall built in 1427, the Saint-Jean-Baptist Church, the port and its docks, the marketplace...


  • Sainte Foy la Grande : a walled town in Bergerac

Retrace the development and evolution of a strong city from the Middle Ages to today. From prehistoric times through the Gallo-Roma era. Let's take a look at the different stages that led to the founding of the Bastide de Sainte-Foy-la-Grande in the 13th century.


14h30 – Visite of the Rauzan castle


You will discover the history, the vestiges of the Middle Age, and architectural transformation made from the end of the XVth century and the beginning of the XVIth century. You will admire a beautiful palmer vault on the top of the staircase tower, and climb the 31 metres of the donjon to appreciate a brilliant view of the village and the vineyards around.
