Château Bonalgue is above all, a family story, The Bourotte Audy Family. The Château was created in 1801, by a Napoleon's Captain (You can still see the military symbols on the front). One century later, the Bourotte-Audy Family buy this magnificent winery, close to Libourne end they will make it live again, indeed, it have been occupied until the 80s.
Château Bonalgue have 9.5 ha (22 acres) located on a clay and gravel soil wich helps Merlot to express itself in its best way. Throught the vineyard, the cellar and of course the tasting, you'll learn more about this family, who wants to keep the authenticity of his wines and shares his passion.
During the tour, you'll discover the "world of Bonalgue", every thing which makes it unique. You'll understand how a great Pomerol wine is made, from its creation in the vines, until the glass.
