Château CRUZEAU, a family property of 12 hectares, has been managed by the LUQUOT family for five generations in the respect of the know-how of the great wines of BORDEAUX.
The vineyard, in the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation, is located on the border of Saint-Emilion and Pomerol, in a green setting in the heart of the Bastide of Libourne. In the 18th century, on the Belleyme map, Château CRUZEAU was located in the countryside. The LUQUOT family was able to fight against urbanization and the vines enhance a pretty little castle.
The average age of the vines is 45 years. The grape variety is dominated by Merlot (73%), then Cabernet Franc (23%) and finally Cabernet Sauvignon (3%). The supple tannins of the Merlot combined with the finesse of the Cabernet aromas make for an elegant and warm wine.
In a societal and environmental approach, the property is certified High Environmental Value level 3 and promotes environmentally friendly practices.
We welcome you all year round by appointment.
We offer a classic tasting tour ans a wine/cheese pairing tour.
