Château de Sales is one of the few Bordeaux estates to have been passed on intact from one generation to the next for nearly 5 centuries. The Château itself, built in the middle of the 17th century, was given historical monument status in 1996.

With over 47.6 hectares of the 90-hectare estate under vines, Château de Sales has the largest vineyard in the Pomerol appellation. Smooth and refined, Château de Sales wines are elegant and fruit-driven with silky tannins, a true expression of the terroir from which they come.

They reflect the perfect match between the grape varieties used, predominantly Merlot with some Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, and the estate’s gravelly, sandy soil.

Come and discover an exceptional heritage and a unique family history.
