Le Logis de la Cadène is a family-owned establishment founded in 1848 and is set within an 18th century residence in the heart of Saint-Émilion’s narrow pedestrian streets.
Acquired in 2013 by the De Boüard de Laforest family, the owners of Château Angelus, a Saint-Emilion Premier Grand Cru Classé A, this fine-dining address has become the go-to restaurant in this UNESCO-listed medieval village.
The chef, Alexandre Baumard, who trained alongside such culinary greats as Paul Bocuse and Christophe Bacquié, won his first Michelin star there in 2017!
He offers a gastronomic, inventive and uncluttered cuisine that features very high-quality seasonal produce which he selects with great precision and rigour from the finest producers in the region.
Pastry chef Damien Amilien accompanies him in the kitchen to offer you the most delicious desserts.
The wine list, which is made up of several hundred carefully selected growths from diverse regions, features wines from the world’s finest vineyards and ensures that the perfect pairings are found for your dishes.
Elegant, contemporary and full of charm, the place is an oasis of calm and offers a warm, convivial atmosphere for fine-diners.
The restaurant is open lunchtimes from 12 to 2 and in the evenings from 7.30 to 9.30, from Monday to Friday.
Private function rooms can also be booked.
