Visit of an exceptional site 20 min from Saint-Émilion

In 1572, Montaigne retired to his tower to spend the rest of his life concentrating on his "Essays". A great humanist work of the 16th century, Montaigne is a great figure of tolerance and open-mindedness in a context of religious wars ravaging France.

This historical land does not stop only with the character. The Montaigne lands are also viticultural. 20 hectares surround the estate and gets the name "Château Michel de Montaigne".

Take advantage of your visit to discover the rich history of the estate thanks to guided tours and end with a wine tasting!
