Entering the world of Les Vignobles de Maxime means discovering the deep convictions that drive our estates: respect for the character of the terroirs, the quality of the wines, confidence in a bottle that characterises the know-how of great wines and our winemakers.
After 4 years of research into the finest terroirs in Bordeaux, our story begins with this property. It is located on the lower slopes of Saint-Émilion in the ancient sands, a magnificent terroir that gives the vines extraordinary aromatic potential. Château Grand Lartigue, a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru excellence, is magnificently composed of Merlot (80%), whose nectar is the perfect embodiment of "the senses of terroir".
Since 2009, our work on the parcels has led us to rethink our wines, giving new life to Queyron Lartigue (AOP Saint-Émilion), where the terroirs express themselves, producing more supple, fruity wines. This work will be rewarded as of the 2012 vintage with a gold medal and a star in the Hachette guide for this wine.
Château Ferrand Lartigue is a Saint Emilion Grand Cru where the perfect harmony of its flavours and its racy character transcend this wine into a veritable nectar. This great wine, recognised as one of the finest in Saint-Émilion, is over 80% Merlot and made in the purest tradition of the Saint-Émilion Grands Crus Classés. Taken over in 2008, we are continuing the quality work carried out before us, while adding our own personal touch.
All in all, Château Ferrand Lartigue is one of the founding members of the Cercle Rive Droite.
