We are very happy to welcome you to Montagne. This hotel has a history.
25 years ago, the former presbytery of the Saint Martin church, which had fallen into ruins, was saved from destruction by the inhabitants who allowed the restoration of this long and beautiful building, a "Girondine", to use the devoted term.
Completely rehabilitated, it now houses the hotel as well as our restaurant "La Réserve du Presbytère".
The hotel reception is located in the old little theater of the village, and owes it its typical facade.
Years ago, when we first came to Montagne, the Tuscan charm of the hills in these landscapes of Saint-Emilion vineyards, the colors, the alternation of vineyards with rhythmic stripes and bushy groves, the Romanesque churches, the piazzale, the dry heat on the stone in summer, the olive trees blooming near the blushing photinias, the cypress trees pointed out to the sky, everything reminded us of the Italian countryside around Siena.
We had given the area a nickname: "Little Tuscany".
By the hospitality, the setting and the comfort that we wish to offer you, we hope that we will be the humble heirs of the refined and welcoming residences of the Italian Dukes, in the centuries of the greatness of Siena.
