Concert "chants du monde"

The Vino Voce Festival’s choral singing workshop in Saint-Émilion is back for its fourth year! It remains true to the festival’s spirit: open to all styles of vocal music and committed to discovering lesser-known artists and vocal practices.

The concert bringing the workshop to a close will take you on a journey through the particularly rich repertoire of folk songs from around the world – songs that did not originate in books but in the fields, by the fireside, or at the heart of a village festival or wedding. For a long time, they were passed down orally, crossing eras and borders, and are no strangers to the repertoire of classical music, which has so often drawn inspiration from them.

It will take you from the Slavic soul to Irish melancholy, from the Mediterranean Sea to the North Sea, from the African savannah to the peaks of the Andes…
