Château La Tour Figeac Grand Cru Classé, separated from the Château Figeac estate in 1879, is located north-west of the village of Saint-Emilion.
The vineyard covers 14.5 hectares, bordering the Pomerol appellation between Château Cheval Blanc and Château Figeac.
Since Roman times, the famous ‘Graves de Saint-Emilion’, the privileged piece of land on which Château La Tour Figeac is located, has been dedicated to viticulture. This terroir, along with the medieval heritage of Saint-Emilion, was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999.
The terroir of La Tour Figeac is gravelly-sandy on a clay subsoil, with a majority of gravel.
The vines are the focus of our attention. Since 1997, La Tour Figeac has been using biodynamic practices based on careful observation of the vineyard.
The wines of Château La Tour Figeac are appealing even in their youth thanks to their great finesse and soft tannins. They have great ageing potential.
We welcome you all year round, by appointment, for a friendly and personalised tour to discover the estate and taste a renowned Grand Cru Classé.
