Vignobles Lassagne brings together several family estates acquired over three generations, cultivated with tradition and innovation on exceptional terroirs in the heart of the Libourne region.
The 1st Generation:
Château des Landes is a family vineyard created in 1952, in the Lussac Saint Emilion appellation.
Originally, Paul Lassagne, employed as a kiln operator at the local tile factory, worked nights at the factory and days on his small property of vines, land and meadows.
A double activity carried out with enthusiasm, with the aim of being able to
leave the factory and make a living from his passion.
The 2nd generation:
In 1979, his son Daniel, the only son of three children, moved in with his father after completing his studies in viticulture, to develop the family estate.
This small 5-hectare vineyard acquired by Paul expanded over the years, bringing the surface area to 23 hectares by the early 2000s.
The 3rd generation:
In 2001, the third generation arrived on the family estate, Nicolas Lassagne,
after completing his studies in wine.
He brings his technical skills to the vineyard and winery, as well as his business
to develop the estate.
New wines are created and new properties acquired (Château Maltus, Ambre de Maltus, Luccianus, etc.), for a total surface area of 52 hectares.
