At the entrance of the village of Saint-Emilion, the bakery-pastry shop La Petite Perdrix opens the doors to a new kind of gourmet experience. Its name is a nod to the restaurant at Château Troplong Mondot: Les Belles Perdrix, which has been awarded a Michelin star.
The sweet creations of Pastry Chef Adrien Salavert are showcased there, for a true moment of pleasure. In individual or shareable portions, you can find perfectly mastered classics like the Paris-Brest or the meringue lemon tart, as well as original creations: hazelnut chocolate tart, vanilla-cassis custard tart... He also offers "travel cakes", easy to transport and store, to take a bit of the house's delights with you: Périgord walnut tart, madeleines, brownie, or the surprising cookie with dried fruits and pumpkin seed praline. These treats are accompanied by artisanal sourdough breads with long fermentation.
Finally, for lunch, a selection of hot or cold sandwiches is offered, to be complemented by a sweet note. From the timeless club sandwich to the minute burger (with homemade fries, of course), not to mention a delicious "croque perdu," a seasonal fruit salad, or a chocolate mousse, everything is prepared on-site each day with ingredients sourced from local suppliers, for a healthy and balanced break.
