For nine generations, the Bouyer family has been cultivating vines in the northern part of the Saint-Émilion appellation. Across 18 hectares, the estate relies on a mosaic of terroirs that gives rise to precise and elegant wines.

Until the mid-20th century, the grapes were delivered to the local cooperative. In 1967, Françoise and Christian Bouyer decided to vinify and bottle their own wines. They chose to highlight each parcel according to its individual character, without imposing a fixed hierarchy between “first” and “second” wines—a philosophy that remains central to the estate today.

The vineyard is structured around two complementary identities.
Château Milon comes from silico-clay-gravel soils, producing accessible, fruit-forward and vibrant wines.
Clos de la Cure, heir to the historic “Clos du Curé,” is rooted in the clay-limestone slopes and plateaus of Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes, offering more structured, deep wines with an elegant mineral backbone.

In 1994, their son Pierre joined the estate. Together with his wife Alexia, he modernized the facilities, refined vineyard and cellar practices, and developed a range of wines spanning from approachable, early-drinking cuvées to bottles suited for long aging. This is when the Caprice cuvée was born—a fresh, gourmand 100% Merlot that reflects a more contemporary and relaxed vision of Saint-Émilion.

The vineyard expanded with the purchase of several parcels, including a rare 0.56-hectare micro-plot in Pomerol acquired in 2010, planted with century-old vines. This confidential vineyard produces a rare wine, limited to just 2,500 bottles per year.

Since 2019, the new generation has taken part in the story with the arrival of Louis, who brings a fresh perspective shaped by experiences in other wine regions. In 2022, the estate created the Bouchet cuvée from a limestone-based Cabernet Franc parcel and developed a collection of small-batch, single-parcel wines produced in strictly limited quantities.

The estate welcomes visitors for vineyard tours, cellar discoveries, and guided tastings, all in a warm and family-oriented atmosphere.
