Programme only for school groups (from 11 years old / high school level)

Your guide welcomes you at the Tourist Office, Place des Créneaux in Saint-Émilion. 
The guiding service is scheduled from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.

10:00 am - Tour of Saint-Emilion Undergrounds including the famous Monolithic Church
About 45 minutes in the heart of the limestone for an exclusive look at Saint-Émilion's underground heritage!

During this guided tour, immerse yourself in the ancient pilgrimage site! From the legend of Emilion to the digging of the largest underground church in Europe, your guide will also take you to the catacombs, not to mention the Chapelle de la Trinité and its superb 14th century paintings. A summary of medieval history through 4 monuments.

10:45 am - Patrimonial and historical discovery game
At the end of the visit, your guide gives a road map to each team (made up of teams of 5 till 8 people on average). It's up to you to play and let the best win! The results will be announced directly after the tour with rewards delivery for each team. 
Duration: 1 hour

12:00 pm - End of the half-day programme

On request with additional fees: packed-lunch or lunch in a restaurant.

1:30 pm - Meeting point at the Wine House (located on the "Pierre Meyrat Square" -next to the Tourist Office)
A professional will help you discover the world of wine and vineyards in a room adapted for 34 students maximum. A perfect way to learn about the region of Saint-Émilion: appellations, terroirs, grape varieties and wine production process (fermentation, blend...). The programme includes flavours recognition, discovery of basic flavours.

2:30 pm - End of our program

• Entire program until 2:30 pm with additional fees

General terms and conditions:

Booking must be made in advance ; the tour is available all year long from monday to friday (except bank holidays).

Minimum capacity: 20 students.

Maximum capacity: 34 students ; beyond 34 please contact us.

Free admission to accompanying : 1 free admission granted for 1 accompanying adult (maximum 3 free admissions for a whole group).

The fee per person (without guide) includes: admission fees to the monuments, the treasur hunt, the reward and the class at the Wine House (for the full day programme).

The fee does not include: transportation (on request) or personal expenses.

The guiding fees are per guide and for one group of a maximum 34 students. These include the guiding service for the whole programme as mentioned.
