This 18km off-road trail between the Saint-Emilion vineyards and the Dordogne offers some lovely views. It follows a 1 km stretch of grass track, which requires a mountain bike or all-terrain vehicle.
The stages
From the Jardin de la Lamproie in Lavagnac, take the road to Ste-Terre and follow the river.
At the entrance to Ste-Terre, turn right towards the village. Drive past St-Alexis church and turn slightly right into Rue du Parlement.

After the hamlet, leave the shore by taking the road on your left.
At the crossroads, turn left.
At the stop sign, take care when crossing and continue straight ahead.

At the next junction, turn left.
Cross the tree-lined driveway and continue along the small tarmac road.
