Starting in the village of Sainte-Terre, from the church of Saint-Alexis, this pleasant 6.4 km walk takes you along the banks of the Dordogne.

The stages

Step 1

With your back to Saint-Alexis church, take Avenue du Général de Gaulle on your left to leave the village.

Step 2

At the fork in the road, continue straight ahead along Rue du Parlement.

Step 3

Go down this street and you will come to a path. Take it and follow the Dordogne on your right. Along the way, you'll pass a charming wash-house and discover a beautiful viewpoint over the river.

Step 4

At the prohibition sign, continue straight ahead. The path then bends to the left.

At the end of the path, at the crossroads, turn left and continue straight on to the next fork.

Take the left-hand turning and keep going straight ahead.

At the crossroads at Lormanet, continue straight ahead.

Stay on this main path, which veers off to the left.

Step 9

At the end of the path, you will come to a tarmac road (route de Challon). Turn right onto Rue du Parlement, which will take you back to your starting point.
