Journées européennes de l'Archéologie — Balade archéologique à Saint-Émilion

As part of European Archaeology Days, the Town of Saint-Émilion invites you on a unique tour to discover its underground world and buried remains.

Taking in three major sites in the area, this guided tour invites participants to explore the archaeological traces that tell the story of Saint-Émilion’s history spanning thousands of years: an underground sanctuary carved into the rock, a forgotten medieval cemetery and an ancient Gallo-Roman villa nestled in the heart of the vineyards.

Each stage of this tour is led by the archaeologists and specialists who excavate, study and bring these exceptional sites to light. A fascinating immersion in heritage, research and the memory of the landscape.

Please wear comfortable shoes.
