As part of the Art and Wine evenings at Château Siaurac, discover the ‘Hors- Jeux’ exhibition by Austrian artist Johann Pollak and taste the estate's wines.
Thursday 22 August at 6.30pm, in the presence of the artist's daughter, Johanna Pollak.
The duality of sport and art will be presented inside Château Siaurac, a listed building. Johann Pollak led his career as a Judoka, taking part in the Olympic Games in 1972 (Munich) and 1976 (Montreal). The exhibition features colourful original posters produced in the aftermath of the Second World War. (Germany's colours were banned from communication at the time). His artistic output is gigantic; he created throughout his life working in wood engraving, copper engraving, sculpture, acrylic painting and drawings....
The retrospective of his work is on show until 25 August in the hall and lounges of the château!
