The Mill of Porcheres is a heritage site, registered on the Historic Monuments list, located on the banks of the river Isle in an exceptional environment certified Man and Biosphèreand Natura 2000.
Whether for a guided tour of the mill, a bakery workshop or even an insolite exploration of the river Isle on a Waterbike or an electric boat, you will be welcomed and accompanied by passionate guides who will make you travel in time.
The site of the Moulin de Porchères is located in the North of the Libourne area, a few wheel rides from the Dordogne, the Charente and the Charente-Maritime.
It was in the 1930s that this old water mill was modernized. Its stone millstones were replaced by metal cylinders.
During the guided tour, you will discover the amazing work of the miller and the incredible ingenuity of the system where the wheat grain is processed into flour.
On site, enjoy a time of learning and sharing during our Bread Making Workshop. Prepare, knead and shape your 250g French bread according to your creativity.
The Moulin de Porchères is also a love story with the river Isle. Let yourself be tempted by two amazing activities: the Waterbikes will give you an incredible feeling of freedom during a walk on the water and the Barbecue-boats will allow you to experiment an unique experience at lunch or dinner time.
