Château Alto Cormeil

Set among the vineyards of Saint-Émilion, our house carries the quiet elegance of a traditional Gironde wine estate. Built between the late 18th and 19th centuries, this former wine manor has kept the character of places shaped slowly over time: pale local stone, generous proportions, and the lingering traces of a life once devoted to the vine.

Around the property, the former vat room, the wine cellar and the surrounding vineyard landscape still echo its past. Carefully restored, the house doesn’t try to erase its history. Instead, it gives it a new expression — softer, more intimate, and deeply connected to the Bordeaux way of life.

Our guest house offers five bedrooms, each named after the world of wine, like a cuvée with its own identity. The interiors have been designed in the spirit of a family home: warm, peaceful and welcoming. Guests can enjoy two separate lounges: one dedicated to reading and relaxation, and another designed for games and billiards. The house also offers a breakfast area with a charming, generous atmosphere, as well as a small fitness room.

Outside, the house opens onto a wooded park of almost 4,000 m². Sheltered and peaceful, the garden extends the calm of the house into the landscape. Between the trees, the stone walls and the nearby vines, the property offers a true countryside retreat — a place to slow down, breathe, and enjoy the moment.
