Château La Pierrière
Visit Thursday 4th May, 29th June, 27th July, 3rd August, 24 August and 7th September

The oldest part of Château La Pierrière was built at the end of the 13th century by the lord Izambert. It was later enlarged by François de Lageard and completed in 1865 by Leonard de Lageard who had a round tower built for his granddaughter. Inherited by the women, La Pierrière arrived in the hands of the Marcillac family in 1930.

The vines, mainly of Merlot and Cabernet Francs and Sauvignon, flourish on clayey-limestone soil with characteristics close to those of Saint-Émilion.

Château Monbadon
Visit Thursday 18th May, 15th June, 13th July, 10th August and 14th September

The Château de Monbadon is one of the last surviving examples of medieval military architecture in the Gironde. It was indeed at the beginning of the Hundred Years' War on April 24th, 1330, that Edward III, gave "license" to Indie de Monbadon to fortify this advanced post of Guyenne in order to supervise the valleys of The Isle and the Dordogne.

The 25-hectare vineyard is located for the most part on a clayey-limestone plateau in the rocky subsoil whose altitude is 109 meters above sea level.

Château Pitray
Visite les jeudis 1er juin, 22 juin, 20 juillet, 17 août et 31 août

For nearly six hundred years the same family has been farming the land of Pitray and its vineyard. Under the Second Empire, General de Simard de Pitray had the present castle erected by the Bordeaux architect Blaquières. This impressive Gothic-Renaissance building in the style of Viollet-le-Duc is surrounded by a park where centuries-old oaks and cedars dominate.

The vineyard of Pitray, on the clayey-limestone plateau of Gardegan, facing south and 8 km as the crow flies from the bell tower of Saint Emilion, consists of merlot (75%) and cabernet franc (25%).
