A sustainable development action plan in 2023
An image campaign focusing on slow tourism and sustainable development, listing a number of communication initiatives to be implemented in 2024.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTAND SOFT MOBILITY

The Grand Saint-Emilionnais offers a number of public transport options to help you get around the region. Here are a few solutions available to travellers:

Saint-Emilion station: If you arrive by train, Saint-Emilion station is the only station in the Greater Saint-Emilion area. From there, you can get to the village on foot or using the facilities available (tuk-tuk or electric buggy shuttle service in high season).
Bus network: The region's bus network provides a daily service between Bordeaux and Saint-Émilion. The bus stop is at the top of the village, providing quick access to the tourist office.

Once you're there, soft mobility is an excellent way to soak up the beauty of the region's vineyards and landscapes, while reducing your carbon footprint:

Cycling is an ideal way to discover Saint-Émilion. Whether you prefer a mechanical or electric bike, you're sure to find what you're looking for among the many activities on offer in the area.
Hiking trails allow you to explore the rolling countryside, vineyards and historic sites. Don't hesitate to view our walking trails directly online. Paper guides are also available from the Tourist Office shop.
Tuk-tuk and electric buggy to visit the region in an unusual and environmentally-friendly way. Clean, quiet, electric transport to take you through the vineyards and narrow streets of the region.
