Exhibition "Il est où le bonheur"

    23 August 2017
From July 1st to the 31st August the Château Couspaude will be hosting the exhibition "il est où le bonheur...!" (Where is happiness...!) by the plastics artist Le Droff. The exhibition will be open to the public from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:30am to 6:30pm.    About the Artist    The visual artist LE DROFF is a native of Bordeaux. Keeping the taste of matter and playing on nuances, she reveals her "soul" through her works where "power of emotion" and "force of feelings" are dominant. Specialist in color, she poses fluid, intuitive touches on the canvas.   Very early on she expressed a marked interest in the pictorial arts. She completed her training in art history with masters such as PIRAZZINI and attended the Fine Arts School in Paris. Her first works exhibited in various French exhibitions and were quickly noticed and are won her awards and recognition. If her family life compels her to develop a professional activity in the Public Service, the young artist tirelessly pursues her artistic quest, through her wanderings ... Exhibitions (both collective and personal) are linked and the affirmation of her expression is regularly mentioned in the press; The DROFF is classified as "Lyric Abstract" art genre and presents works not only nationally if not internationally: (Emirates, Sweden, Germany, U.S.A, Uruguay) and her thematic exhibitions are welcomed by the public. To date, about fifty exhibitions are listed, because over the last fifteen years she has finally been able to devote herself to her passion.     Infos pratiques Website : ledroffjacqueline.wordpress.com Tel : +33 (0)6 62 21 45 13

  • François Maurisse Exhibition

    François Maurisse Exhibition

    23 August 2017
The château Guadet is hosting an art exhibition by François Maurisse.   From the 1st June to the 31st December the Château Guadet will be hosting an art exhibition by François Maurisse in the tasting room of the Château.   About the Artist   François Maurisse is an atypical and unclassifiable artist: he is an Exflorator. Exfloration is a new and authentic art that draws its inspiration from the roots of the earth, to extract its beauty and rarity. There is no question here of painting or sculpture, nothing you have not seen before! These creations are called "Herbettes" and "Vinoglyphes". These works come from a gathering, then a floral metamorphosis, immediately fixed by the photo in natural light and in very high definition. The final painting is reproduced in limited edition on canvas, thanks to the Digigraphie® process. Les Herbettes challenge us and celebrate the incredible richness of nature that we have before us ... and that we too often forget to appreciate! These works are ambassadors of the living. They are the spokesmen of the relationship that we must preserve and recreate between nature and man.   The Château Gaudet Château Guadet located in Saint Émilion, working in biodynamics, has long understood the language of nature and respects it. Thus, these men, living in osmosis with the planet, are happy to present you this exhibition in their tasting room.   An exhibition of these works in vegetal haute couture combining the same ethics and demanding the same rigor as that of the Grands Crus. In this exhibition, Mother Nature will take your hand, for a moment of sharing by delivering you essential truths about life ...   Usueful Information Address : 4 Rue Guadet 33330 Saint-Émilion Telephone : 05 57 74 40 04 Website : www.chateau-guadet-saintemilion.fr Artist's website : http://www.herbettes.fr

The Saint-Émilion of Léo Drouyn Exhibition

    02 September 2017
As part of the Léo Drouyn festival 2017, a summer event dedicated to the celebration of Girondin heritage, the Salle Gothique in Saint-Émilion will host an exhibition of the artist's drawings between the 2nd and the 17th of September. The exhibito,n will be open to the public on weekday afternoons and on the weekends from 10am until 12pm and from 2pm until 6pm.     THE SAINT-EMILION OF LEO DROUYN     Léo Drouyn, a Girondin artist and archaeologist, spent his life in the 18th century (1816-1896) drawing the monuments of the Gironde and other departments of France and studying their architecture and history. He left us an exceptional iconographic collection of thousands of drawings and engravings, a valuable source of knowledge of our monumental heritage, before certain destructions and restorations. He did not fail to take an interest in Saint-Emilion, transporting his pencil every year as a "artistic-archaeological pilgrimage", going so far as to write a book "Guide du voyageur à Saint-Emilion" in 1859.   The work of Leo Drouyn (1816-1896) on Saint-Emilion is rich in more than a hundred drawings and prints, mostly purchased by the Historical and Archaeological Society of the village in 1940. Miraculously saved from the flames during a fire, this treasure archive of images is for the first time since 1941to be  exposed and presented to the public. The exhibition "Le Saint-Emilion by Léo Drouyn" will allow you to discover about forty of these original works as well as prints.   This exhibition will take place as part of the 2017 Fête à Léo, a summer event devoted to the Girondin Heritage, co-organized by Les Amis de Léo Drouyn and Les Éditions de l'Entre Deux Mers and benefiting from the Label Scènes d'Eté in Gironde. The Municipality of Saint-Emilion is a partner in the realization of the exhibition.
