Commemoration of the 1250 years of the DIES NATALIS of Émilion
On the occasion of the 1250 years of the death of the Emilion monk, the village of Saint-Emilion organizes various festivities to celebrate the monk at the origin of the history of the medieval city.
Participation in the Gulf of Morbihan Week - May 24th to 28th 2017
The Arawak left Bordeaux to descend the Gironde estuary and reach the ocean on 16 May at midday. On arrival in Vannes, the birthplace of Emilion, the barrel of Saint-Emilion will be tasted during the festivities of the Week of the Gulf of Morbihan.

As part of the commemoration of the 1250 years of the Dies Natalis of Saint-Emilion, the Cité du Vin of Bordeaux celebrates the monk Emilion. During 1:30, the conference will be led by Marc AGOSTINO, emeritus professor in the university Bordeaux Montaigne.

Guided tour "When the monks guarded the city" - November 19th and 26th, 2017
During 1h30 of visits, a guide of the Tourist Office will take visitors in the footsteps of the various religious congregations that lived in Saint-Emilion. From the Emilion monk to the Ursuline sisters and passing through the Dominicans, this walk in the village will be the opportunity to rediscover the religious history of the city whose architectural traces are still visible to this day.
Closure of the Jubilee - November 19th and 26th, 2017
To close the year of commemoration, two masses will be organized in November to celebrate the DIES NATALIS of Émilion:
